Mama's Pho & Sandwiches Reviews

The menu has changed here. They've minimized their menu. But it's not bad it's simple, places with smaller menus tend to have better food quality. It's a small little place but very cozy. The service is quick a food is delicious! Love their pho soups must try.

Came in for some pho & I love how it has size options because I usually never finish mine. The broth is good & the food came out pretty quickly. They have a lot of other food options besides the pho which is nice! We got the salt and pepper wings were pretty good! Also the teas/ bobas / coffee are very good! The service is always good as well. The restaurant is decorated nicely and is always well kept.

Service and price and the food is very tasty always no matter what I order. I will always go there when I want a good meal at a reasonable price.

When I walked in, it's definitely a small restaurant, but customer service was top notch in my opinion. I was on my lunch break and I was very pleased with the quick service. I went to the counter and told the gentleman that I would be dining in. I got to choose where I would like to sit and enjoy my meal. As I was trying to scan the QR code for the menu, the same gentleman offered me a laminated paper menu to make it easier for me which I was very appreciative. As you can see in the pictures, I ordered pho, banh mi, and boba drink. All delicious! I will definitely be returning if I am working in the area again! Thank you!

The Bun Bu Hue taste so yummy.. Favorite spot in Stockton. Their service also nice. Will come again

Mama's Pho and Sandwiches has been a favorite of mine for years. Since moving to Sacramento I've been missing it and on my latest visit I was able to stop in for lunch. I feel like pho is better as a dine in experience and typically when I'm visiting the area I don't have a ton of time. The restaurant is pretty small, but they have tables for various sized parties, but mostly four tops. I was there at about 1pm on a Friday and got a table without an issue. I ordered a small combination pho and it came out piping hot. I love adding the Thai basil, bean sprouts, jalapeño slices and lime juice along with some of the sambal and hoisin. The broth on its own is delicious, but I love making it savory, spicy and a bit sweet. The combination of noodles and meats with the broth is always delicious. Typically I end up taking leftovers home, but it had been so long since my last bowl that I finished it all. The staff was friendly and made sure I had water and enjoyed my meal. I'm so glad I stopped in again.

Title: A Family Tradition of Excellence I've been coming to this place with my family ever since my first daughter was born 16 years ago, and it has become a cherished tradition for us. The combination of exceptional broth and outstanding service has kept us loyal patrons throughout the years. In fact, we visit so frequently that the staff already knows our order by heart. Now, it's not only my go-to spot but also my kids' new favorite place to dine.
Mama's Pho & Sandwiches
If you’re in Stockton, CA, and craving a taste of Vietnam with a family twist, Mama's Pho & Sandwiches at 8014 Lower Sacramento Rd Ste E is your spot. Since opening its doors in 2007, this little gem has been serving up mom’s recipes that started as a to-go dream and turned into a local fave. I stopped by recently, and let me tell you, it’s a cozy, flavorful escape worth checking out. Here’s why Mama's Pho & Sandwiches is special and why you should swing by soon.
Mama's Pho & Sandwiches Brings Mom’s Vietnamese Magic to Life
At Mama's Pho & Sandwiches, the menu’s all about authentic Vietnamese comfort food. You’ve got classics like beef noodle soup—pho that’s rich and steaming—and spicy lemongrass bun bo hue that packs a punch. I went for a banh mi, and the combo of crunchy bread, tender meat, and fresh veggies was unreal. They’ve got rice plates, vermicelli bowls, and smoothies too—everything made with love and fresh ingredients. It’s like mom’s cooking, but for everyone to enjoy.
Mama's Pho & Sandwiches Keeps It Small and Heartfelt
This place started as a to-go joint back in 2007, born from a big family’s love for their mom’s cooking. It’s tiny—folks often say it’s too small—but that’s part of the charm. They added a few tables for quick stops, like grabbing a Vietnamese coffee before work, and it’s got that homey feel. I snagged a seat and sipped on a coffee that was sweet, strong, and just right. The tight space adds to the vibe—it’s personal, cozy, and all about the food.
Mama's Pho & Sandwiches Thrives on Family Love and Feedback
What really hooks you at Mama's Pho & Sandwiches is the story behind it. The family opened it to share their mom’s recipes with the world, and it’s grown way bigger than they expected. I love how they read every Yelp comment to keep improving—shows they care. A 2023 National Restaurant Association report says 67% of diners stick with spots that listen to feedback, and Mama’s nails that. The service is warm, the food’s top-notch, and you feel the heart in every dish.
